Don't know if Mo agrees with me yet, as she's still on her holls. But I feel Damien Rice right now and I think there's a pretty good change she isn't. Lets see if he will last a whole week.

Happy games, fase III

I knew the time would come, that our 10 year old boy wouldn't accept the pink & white childrens playroom (mostly pink I have to admit) as their domain, but I have posponed it as long as I possibly could. The girl didn't mind, but hey all has to be decided in a democratic way, well almost.

As they wanted a Game Room, I suggested we have all sorts of vintage PacMan illustrations, but no, they wanted Mario. I refuse to have a guy with a moustache on any wall of the house, and as I'm the one painting it I should have a major vote in this. So we came up with this. Sorry can't remember where I got it from, internet, but where?

And now it's done, goodbye to Peter Pan Childhood Dreams, Hello Game World. The room has been transformed to a chill hang out place, all the pink has been removed. Bit sorry, but I also love it when their friends come over saying, wow this is cool!

So I'm done, made my deadline, fase I, II & III delivered before the first of March. But I'm also very very very tired, so tired that I can't be bothered to make some more pictures, sorry.

Hug ME

Sometimes you have a sweater you really really like, but can't wear anymore because there's a stain in it that won't come out, or a little hole somewhere. This sweater had both and I kept it for years (12 actually). A second life is the best option, but why leave the arms out? So we came up with the HUG ME cushion. Want to order one? shoot us an email. We're working on 'give me the ultimate pleasure cushion' hahaha.

Fase II

So with the cabinet in place we could start with Fase II, meaning cleaning everything out of the little gardenhouse, let me tell you it took 3 full days! going through everything, deciding what could go, what should stay in the new storage.

When it was finaly empty the painting started, again & again. Big thanks for my dad giving me a helping hand. And than..., what do we hang in front of the windows? what about the light? how do I want the table to look like etc. etc.

The table was quite an issue, I found a suitable one weeks ago at one of the places that sell our cards, old, used, exactly how I wanted it, but it was blue, not my colour (won't see any of that now). The issue was about the top of the table, I couldn't decide how I wanted it. Than it hit me, what are we never allowed to do but want to ever since we are at school, cut in the table! So that's what I did and I asked my kids and some other people as well to do so. Now it looks perfect.

Below you see some pictures of the previous situation and a sneak preview of what it looks now, 2 weeks later.

On Saturday I'm starting the final Fase III, the childrens playroom. All should be done before the 1st of March. Oh and yes I do work in between all this.
