How we love our Iphones and although most of you would already know about the photography apps they offer, I didn't. Oh joy, what fun & being bound to home as my youngest is having pneumonia, a small story came out of it just shooting some pictures & getting them together.

Reading the last edition of Flow Magazine, I fell for this extremely yummy dessert & cake calender, published by Snor filled with recipes of family, friends & acquaintances of the writers. Sorry to say it's in Dutch. If there's one on this page you really like, send us an email and we'll try to translate it for you.

Little treasures

It's always nice when people think of you when cleaning up their houses. And sometimes we get such lovely little treasures from people who have collected them for years, like this one. A little book of 4 pages as a card. This wasn't the only one, there was a box full amazing stuff and we got so excited unpacking them. Thank you Marietta!

September wanna haves

It's the first time for us to make a list of wanna haves and we must say it was quite a search & decision making. Not that we don't have any wishes, we DO!, but usually we simply don't tell them. Now that we did, we can't stop. Another good thing, our birthdays are both in November, so it's fairly easy for other people now to see what we really want to have as a present....

1. So sweet, this cute rabbit night lamp made of fine bone china. Who says it's only for children? By Nordic Child;
2. More ceramic, lovely ear rings designed by Anne Black;
3. Tiny mice living in a match-box, it's their home, their bed, kids can play with them for hours. By Maileg;  
4. A leather journal by Renate Ikinger;
5. Romantic & nostalgic hair pins by Paper and Ribbons;
6. Don't know if you cycle a lot, we do, and wearing a skirt or a dress while doing that mostly ends up in showing your panties. But now there is the dress clip, for a cycling in a decent way. By Nomonro; 
7. Cuff links We're not wearing them but my husband does, and being a writer they would suite him perfectly. By buttons by Lou Lou;
8. My favorite jewelry designer, Nadine Kieft unfortunately this necklace is no longer available, but there is so much more I want from her;
9. Bags, we always need bags. Preferably a XL basic style one, so all our stuff including laptop will fit in. This one will do nicely. By Hiddengem.

At one of the houses

Today we celebrated Tiger's (cat of one of our neighbors) 20th anniversary on the street with loads of pancakes. At her age, Tiger herself didn't notice much of the sociability outside, but I'm sure she'll love the meals everybody gave as a present. Thank you Tiger for the excellent party!

the love for Paris...

...London or New York! Twice a year, a special home decoration edition for kids by Ariadne comes out. Full of 'make it yourself stuff'. My absolute favorite of last edition is this huge print of the hand paper cut creation of Famille Summerbelle which has been magnified for wallpaper.

They have some nice Chinese - orientated decoration ideas as well, sorry to say it's in dutch.

Masters of Art

When being in meetings for several days, the urge of spending some time on your own is growing rapidly. So when I had some spare minutes I found this excellent documentary about wall art. How I wish we had more of them over here. If you have some spare minutes just watch these great artisans, it only takes 12 minutes.

laptop sweater - laptop trui

As summer is ending and the leafs start to fall I found that my laptop, going in & out of the house needed some warm protection as well. So I picked out an old woolen sweater, washed it on 90 degrees making the material thick & strong and made him (or is it her?) a lovely vintage pink sweater.

Don't you just love the way old pictures look? I do, and if you're a photoshop user, this is an easy tutorial to get the effect. Just tried it on some of my summer Santorini pictures.
